| Bytes: Feet Beats Bond at Box Office |
- The Warner Bros. animated movie HAPPY FEET debuted with $42.3 million, holding an slight edge for the weekend’s No. 1 slot over Sony’s new James Bond flick Casino Royale, which opened with $40.6 million. [Link]
- Onetime James Bond Pierce Brosnan will play a debonair spy in SPY VS. STU, a comedy about a commitment-phobic guy who is in danger of losing his girlfriend to Brosnan. [Link]
- FOX might bring PRISON BREAK back as early as January. The drama was supposed to go on hiatus from November 27 until March.
- Carson Kressley and Jack LaLanne are among the many special guests in the live-action THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS, which airs December 11 on NBC. John Goodman and Delta Burke star as Santa and Mrs. Claus. [Link]
- DreamWorks has bought the movie rights to CAMP CREEPY TIME, an upcoming children’s book written by actress Gina Gershon and her brother Dann Gershon. It’s about a camp that’s a front for a smuggling operation run by aliens.
- MY FUHRER, Germany’s first comedy poking fun at Adolf Hitler, is now in post-production and will be shown to German audiences in January. [Link]
