A lot of attention recently has been focused on the first of the X-Men origin movies, Wolverine, but thanks to an exclusive from the fine people over at Latino Review, there’s a mighty big scoop floating around for X-Men Origins: Magneto.
The movie, which is to focus on the early life of one Eric Lensherr, aka, Magneto, is apparently also going to be seeing a young Beast, aka, Dr. Hank McCoy. To be directed by David S. Goyer, the movie will be looking at how Magneto came to be the villain that we see in the X-Men trilogy of movies, so what role Beast will have is a mystery to me and to many others.
However, there does seem to be a measure of contention as to whether George ‘El Guapo’ Roush from Latino Review actually saw what he thought he saw. Roush was on a visit to the creature effects shop for Hellboy II: The Golden Army, when he saw a photo of a young Beast. However he then described him as having a tail, which the Beast certainly does not have.
However the X-Men do in fact have a member who is both blue and be-tailed — Nightcrawler.
So, I think the best we’re going to be able to do here in terms of predicting anything for Magneto, is that someone blue will be appearing.
