It looks like film legends Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro will once again team up and make themselves a movie.
The duo reportedly will work on an adaptation of the Charles Brandt novel I Heard You Paint Houses, which is the true accounts of mob hitman Frank “the Irishman” Sheeran (De Niro’s character) who befriended and has admitted to the murder of Jimmy Hoffa. The mob-term “Paint Houses” refers to the blood splatter on the walls during a murder.
The movie is being written by Steve Zaillian, who wrote Gangs of New York for Scorsese and has also written American Gangster and Schindler’s List among many others.
Aside from the obviously and incredibly exciting fact that Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro will be working on a new mob movie together, this sounds like a really intriguing true story. How can you beat the real-life accounts of one of the most dangerous killers of all time? I’m a sucker for pretty much anything mob-related to begin with, so when you throw in the mysteries of Jimmy Hoffa and this talent, I’m already sold completely.

Remember that film where Jack Nicholson played Jimmy Hoffa ? Imagine a scene with Bobby DeNiro and Jack played off with each other in a prequel / sequel momment
