Geeks of Doom will at the Big Apple Comic Convention (aka The National) this year and so should you.
Other than the New York Comic-Con in February, The Big Apple Con is the biggest comic convention in NYC and no doubt one of the most interactive.
GoD has decided to send me to the event with camera in tow and I shall be taking pictures of the festivities, as well as showcase some of the sketches being drawn and events going on at the convention itself.
Folks jonesing for a comic convention fix should come on down. The tickets are cheap ($25 for Fri/Sat/or Sun and $35 for a 3-day pass) and are available for advance purchase now.
Comic creators past and present will be there (John Romita Sr., Khoi Pham, Chris Claremont, Bryan Talbot, and Sean Chen to name a few), as well as neat movie stars of yesteryear (George Lazenby, one of the original James Bonds, and a handful of past Bond girls!). As an added bonus, there is no added video games stations or scantily clad women promoting a new tv show on site. This convention is exactly what it claims to be: A comic book convention.
So, do yourself a favor and check it out.
