Our pals over at Latino Review were able to get a delicious looking scoop for the big time sequel Iron Man 2. The rumor reads a little something like this: Tim Robbins to play Howard Stark.

The rumor has Robbins replacing Gerard Sanders, the actor who played the minor role of Howard Stark in Iron Man for an important flashback scene that would set the tables for both Captain America AND The Avengers.

Apparently (if this does check out) Jon Favreau wasn’t confident enough in the original actor to pull off such an important scene, setting in motion the replacement.

Another rumor co-starring here, is that both the characters Hawkeye and Black Widow will be in Iron Man 2 and they aren’t going to be some “squint and you’ll see” cameo; meaning decent-sized roles here.

Neither of these rumors are confirmed yet, but the source seemed solid, so it’s newsworthy. We can only wait and see what actually happens.
