Videos of a fireplace to put on your TV or computer screen this time of year is nothing new. You can even find a few on Netflix. Even without the added benefit of providing heat, they’re relaxing and make wherever you are feel more like home.
If you’re a geek looking for a nice cracklin’ fire to put on in the background while working or hanging out with friends and family, Marvel has you covered. They’ve released a collection of videos of the fireplaces in various Marvel heroes’ homes. Each is just over an hour long, and includes Captain America‘s Brooklyn apartment, Ms. Marvel‘s New Jersey home, Thor‘s Asgard home, Iron Man‘s Manhattan apartment, and the Guardians of the Galaxy‘s spaceship and its fancy futuristic fire. There’s also a second close-up version of each of these.

Some work was definitely put into making these videos. Each of the homes was created with miniatures, as confirmed by the giant human cameo at 4:51 of the first Iron Man video. Each also has its own background sounds like vehicles driving, dogs barking, Tony Stark tech noises, and whatever the hell those creepy Asgard noises are (and what’s up with the random green light?!).
Two of the videos even have music, Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy, with the latter including a certain infant Flora colossus with a fondness for dancing. Unfortunately it’s the same song played every few minutes, which can get old fast.
I’m not sure if these videos match up to those 45 minutes we got to spend with Nick Offerman sipping whisky by the fire last year, but nevertheless, enjoy!
