It has been a topic floating around Hollywood and picking up rumors almost as much as the participation of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger: will Linda Hamilton return to her iconic role of Sarah Connor in Terminator Salvation. We’ve known all along that if she did, it would likely only be in some form of voiceover capacity, but even that was exciting enough.
While still no confirmations have shown up, Hamilton confirmed that she has indeed been in talks to reprise the role.
Hamilton stated:
I haven’t read it yet. I don’t know what direction they will go in.
My contribution would be voiceover. I would probably be very happy to loan my voice depending on what the material is. Wait and see. They’re already writing it. We’ve been negotiating it.
Earlier this month, we reported that at the New York Comic Con Terminator Salvation panel, director McG was asked about Hamilton’s involvement, and while he wasn’t able to go and shout anything out, he did imply that his silence spoke volumes.
McG did have this to say:
She’s the greatest. One can imagine she plays an important role.
It seems to me like everyone is on the same page here, and last I heard, Linda Hamilton wasn’t in any political offices. Unless dramatic occurrences unfold, expect to hear some official confirmation on this one in the near future.
