It still seems like Rob Zombie‘s remake of Halloween just came out in theaters, but believe it or not the teaser trailer for the sequel, H2 has already been released. (Click over to watch it!)
The movie recently had a semi-controversial story making the rounds when it was revealed that the iconic Michael Myers would be without his famous mask for most of the sequel (See: Wait, What? Michael Myers To Be Without Mask For Most Of “˜H2″²?), but the teaser doesn’t look half bad in terms of horror movies. When it comes to Zombie’s movies, I think it’s all pretty straight-forward to begin with — you either dig the man’s style or you don’t. If you do, then you’ll probably find yourself enjoying the teaser trailer, and should check it out below.
From what I can see, there is no official synopsis for the movie out there yet. None that I could find, anyway. I did find a synopsis on ShockYa that may or may not be accurate, so it’s included below. Keep in mind, this doesn’t seem to be official, but judging by the new trailer, it sounds pretty close.
It is still Halloween, 1978, and Michael Myers is on the loose after escaping certain death at Dr. Loomis’ hands. By now, the entire sheriff’s department is hunting for him, and Laurie Strode – his intended victim – has been taken to Haddonfield Hospital to be treated for wounds inflicted by Michael. Only Loomis & Sheriff Brackett- whose daughter had been murdered by Myers – seem aware of Myers’ presence in the town, and a young man unknowingly alerts Myers to Laurie’s location. When Myers reaches the hospital he eliminates virtually the entire staff in his pursuit. Meanwhile, Marion Chambers – who had been assisting Loomis during the planned pickup of Myers for his trial – meets up with Loomis to advise him that Myers is after Laurie for 1 reason: she is his sister – born 2 years before he was committed. Loomis is forced to overpower the U.S. Marshal who was to return him to Smith’s Grove, and head for Haddonfield Hospital to stop Myers’ blood spree. But are they too late?
H2 stars Tyler Mane, Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Scout Taylor-Compton, Danielle Harris, Margot Kidder, and Brad Dourif. It is set for an August 29, 2009 release date.
That “Shockya” synopsis is wrong – way wrong. That seems to be detailing the original Halloween II storyline.
This one does start at the hospital but only for 15 minites – and some of that is possibly a dream sequence.
Most of the talk is that this one then fast forwards two years later where Laurie is having therapy to deal with the issues from knowing her brother killed her family and if he is still out there. Myers also seems to be having hallucinations or visions of his dead mother and his younger self. Interesting to see where it all leads.
That synopsis actually belongs to the original HALLOWEEN II from 1981. Sheriff Brackett’s daughter, played by Danielle Harris, was attacked by Myers in the remake but she barely survived.

Ah ha!
That would explain why no one else is using it.
It does still look like they may be running with that storyline, or something resembling it.
