Before the new Star Trek was released in theaters this past weekend, the trailers and clips from the film showed that director JJ Abrams went a bit wild with the lens flare. Yes, it was quite excessive. I think it stands out as the number one non-plot related issue that people have with the film.

Luckily, it didn’t bother me much at the time, since I was really enjoying the movie. But, what if the original Star Trek television series was bombarded with lens flare? Well, here’s your chance to find out. Check out the short video here below where one clever fan added them to the Khan episode “Space Seed.”
