When I was growing up, I just loved it when my favorite TV couple would finally get married and just couldn’t want for the “wedding episode.” (Remember when Joanie and Chachi on Happy Days finally got hitched? Loved it!)
The NBC sitcom The Office has already had one successful on-screen wedding — that of Dunder-Mifflin saleswoman Phyllis to refrigerate mogul Bob Vance [Vance Refrigeration] (see TV Recap: The Office: Phyllis’ Wedding).
There were a few other wedding misfires, but tonight, supercouple Pam and Jim are finally going to get married in tonight’s special 1-hour episode on NBC at Thursday 9/8c.

Yes, I’m excited, I can’t help it. I love Jim and Pam and have rooted for them since day one — remember, when Pam was engaged to Roy and Jim secretly loved her from afar? (And by ‘afar’ a few feet away, yet secretly).
Of course, the whole Dunder Mifflin gang tags along to the wedding, and that’s when the fun starts””including a rehearsal-dinner gaffe from Jim that will wreak some pre-ceremony havoc. “When I got married, people told us, You have no idea where it’s going to come from, the thing that will go horribly wrong,” says exec producer Paul Lieberstein (a.k.a. HR sad-sack Toby). “That’s exactly what happens: Jim ruins his own wedding.”
But, apparently, this will be an all’s well that ends well moment, and Jim and Pam will actually get their deserved happy ending!
