Happy Hump Day fellow Twihards! Lots of delicious Twi tidbits and video to share today (WOOO!!!) from last night’s broadcast of the Scream Awards, updates from New Moon director Chris Weitz, and a new clip of Bella’s birthday kiss. Check out all the video here below.

I hope you all watched the Scream Awards last night (Edward, please forgive me, but HOLY HELL JOHNNY DEPP LOOKED HAWT”¦yum out man, yum out), because our fave sweet like candy shapeshifter Jacob Black, Taylor Lautner was looking quite edible (coo coo cachoo Mrs. Robinson) last night when picking up the Best Fantasy award for Twilight, as well as one of his very own for Breakout Performance.

Of course, the best part of his appearance was his introducing of some awesome new behind the scenes footage from New Moon. This is one of my favorite vids to come out, as we get a look at the CGI used to create the wolves as well as one of the first official interviews with some of the wolfies. Chaske Spencer, who plays pack leader Sam Uley (and has a freakin’ sexy ass deep voice), and Alex Meraz, the volatile and unpredictable Paul, both share some insight into the Wolf Pack and their enthusiasm for New Moon shines through their words. Pay close attention to the clip where Bella slaps Paul, you can actually hear that shit connect. To hear more from Spencer and Meraz, check out these two great interviews from Vanity Fair and Saturday Night mags.

In a recent interview with MTV, director Chris Weitz talked about the use of color in New Moon, a big change from the darkness of Twilight. Most notable to any of us who have seen the clips in Volterra, Italy (if you haven’t by now, go go, look for my other posts and just watch, really, I mean it), is the explosion of red when Alice and Bella arrive in the square. And speaking of red and Italy, Weitz also spoke of nasty little Volturi brat Jane, she of the red eyes and wicked mind games, played by the ever awesome Dakota Fanning. Truth be told, when I heard of her being cast in this role, I was like WTF? But (and don’t be telling everyone, I don’t admit to this very often), I was way wrong. Fanning personifies exactly the Jane I had in my head when reading New Moon, looking all cute and innocent, but personifying the evil that is the Volturi.

OOOH, don’t forget to watch the MTV Ulalume: Howl at New Moon this Friday, October 30 at 9pm ET/PT on MTV. Word is that Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will be introducing yet another New Moon clip. (Can I just stand between them, think anyone would notice? I’ll keep my hands to myself”¦well, no, no I won’t”¦never mind). Cullen co-stars Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, and Ashley Greene (aka Emmett, Rosalie. and Alice) will also be on hand for this Halloween special. Go to theUlalume site for all the deets and to find out Kellan Lutz’s favorite candy (oh how I wish I was a giant jawbreaker), what the most interesting thing in Ashley Greene’s trailer is, and what Jackson Rathbone’s (Jasper) ring tone sounds like.
