JJ Abrams

[Updated: The interview came and went, so if you missed it, watch it here below. It includes footage from Star Trek, including parts of some of the deleted scenes.]

The folks over at G4 gave us the heads up that Star Trek director JJ Abrams will be appearing on the cable network’s Attack of the Show tonight at 7pm ET/PT.

During tonight’s show, Alison Haislip will interview the director about the Star Trek DVD and Blu-ray, both of which will be released tomorrow, as well as the bonus features on the 3-disc Blu-ray edition. Abrams will also be talking about his favorite deleted scene from the film.

Abrams will also reveal what fans can look forward to in his planned sequel to Star Trek.

The sequel to 2009’s Star Trek is tentatively scheduled for a 2012 release date, according to TrekMovie‘s recent exclusive interview with Abrams (contrary to the 2011 date reported earlier this year by Variety).
