They look like robots, not viking gods.

I’m kinda dissappointed how they look. Why did they stray from the old look and go way too futuristic? I think that this will cheapen this movie, the robot look is good for Iron man but not for old school norse gods who are supposed to be timeless icons and not people who look like they are either from the future or half men half robot.
Once again, I am really disappointed….

This is a nod to the way Kirby drew the Asgardians. The Gods were all dressed in this kind of futuristic armor when Jack Kirby drew them in the 60’s, they didn’t usually wear traditional viking gear of mortals.
