Two more impressive actresses have been added to the cast of Wes Craven‘s return to the Scream franchise. True Blood‘s own Sookie Stackhouse, Anna Paquin, and Veronica Mars and Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Kristen Bell have both signed on for roles in Scream 4 (er, SCRE4M, but we hope if we ignore that it’ll go away).
The two new additions join an already huge cast including returning stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox Arquette, and David Arquette, as well as newcomers Emma Roberts (Nancy Drew), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Marielle Jaffe (Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief), Rory Culkin (Signs), Nico Tortorella (Make it or Break It), Erik Knudsen (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World), Anthony Anderson (The Departed), Adam Brody (The O.C.), Marley Shelton (Grindhouse), Alison Brie (Mad Men), and Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica).
The movie returns us to the world of Scream after a decade off. The hope is that this will be a start to a brand new trilogy and add on to the franchise’s $500+ million worldwide box office take.
No word yet on what the premise of the movie will be or how previous stories will tie-in and continue to move forward from here. You can visit the official Scream 4 website where you can enter your e-mail for updates, and also find links to the flick’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

There are a lot of stars that are making guest appearances on this film. Will it actually be better than I thought?
