Air date: October 24, 2019 Shudder’s reimagining of George A. Romero’s and Stephen King’s Creepshow has been a monster hit, breaking streaming records for AMC’s genre service since its premiere in late September. Last week’s Creepshow episode was my favorite of the season thus far and this week we get the penultimate episode of the debut season with a “The Night of the Paw” and “Times is Tough in Musky Holler.” Created by Greg Nicotero of The Walking Dead, Creepshow features phenomenal practical effects, an assortment of genre legends sprinkled throughout the cast, and the darkly comedic fable-like storytelling that Creepshow made popular in the original 1982 film.

Shudder has released a new trailer for Creepshow, their upcoming anthology series based on Stephen King and George A. Romero‘s 1982 movie of the same name. In addition to the new trailer, a behind the scenes video was also released last week. You can find both below, along with more info on the series and details on all 12 of the segments—two segments per episode—that we’ll see in the debut season.

When a tribe of cannibalistic cave dwellers kidnaps settlers from the town of Bright Hope, a team of gunslingers, led by Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell), sets out to bring them home. Accompanying the sheriff are “backup deputy” Chicory (Richard Jenkins), haughty Indian-hunter Brooder (Matthew Fox), and Arthur O’Dwyer (Patrick Wilson), whose wife (Lili Simmons) was abducted in the raid.

If you require more than just a title, the movie is a horror western about a band of gunslingers from a small town who set out on a mission to rescue captives from the cannibals that kidnapped them.
