Streaming Review: Creepshow Episode 6 – Skincrawlers/By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain Happy Halloween, everyone! Once trick or treating is over, lay back on the couch with a huge bag of candy and watch the Season 1 finale of Creepshow on Shudder. The hit series from executive producer Greg Nicotero was just renewed for a second season and ends its first season 6-episode run on AMC’s horror and supernatural streaming service. The finale ends an already strong season with a double banger of monster goodness, with “Skincrawlers” and “By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain.” The latter was directed by make-up effects guru Tom Savini, who helped Nicotero break into the horror business years ago and who worked on the original 1982 film from George A. Romero and Stephen King.

| Shudder Renews ‘Creepshow’ For Second Season
I am a shameless [non-paid] promoter for Shudder, AMC’s horror and supernatural streaming service. But like Sy Sperling of Hair Club for Men, I am also a client. Shudder is in the midst of an amazing Fall season, and Greg Nicotero’s new series Creepshow is on the frontlines of all of it. Season 1 of the anthology series is 6 episodes consisting of two 20+ minute segments featuring the acting, writing, and directing talent of some of the best in the genre. And before season 1 can even end, Shudder announced that the series has been renewed for a second season.

Shudder
Air date: October 24, 2019 Shudder’s reimagining of George A. Romero’s and Stephen King’s Creepshow has been a monster hit, breaking streaming records for AMC’s genre service since its premiere in late September. Last week’s Creepshow episode was my favorite of the season thus far and this week we get the penultimate episode of the debut season with a “The Night of the Paw” and “Times is Tough in Musky Holler.” Created by Greg Nicotero of The Walking Dead, Creepshow features phenomenal practical effects, an assortment of genre legends sprinkled throughout the cast, and the darkly comedic fable-like storytelling that Creepshow made popular in the original 1982 film.

Air date: October 10, 2019 Shudder’s new take on George A. Romero and Stephen King’s comic-inspired anthology, Creepshow, revs into its third episode tonight. Executive produced by Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and featuring writing and directing from some of the most impressive names in horror, Creepshow is one of the many reasons a horror enthusiast should not be living without Shudder, especially this time of the year. Introduced by The Creeper and featuring the always cool looking Creepshow comic artwork, the stories in Episode 1.3 deliver a twisted tale of trick or treating along with a moral fable of the power of greed.
