Sneak Peek Footage From ‘Green Lantern’ Trailer

Green Lantern Poster - Ryan Reynolds as Hal JordanEntertainment Tonight aired a sneak peek at new footage from the highly anticipated Green Lantern.

Check out the video here below.

The 38-seconds of footage is part of the film’s first trailer, which ET will premiere this Tuesday, before it’s shown in theaters next weekend attached to screenings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

At Comic-Con in July, attendees were shown footage from Green Lantern of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, but nothing has been released showing Reynolds suited up as Green Lantern. This sneak peek clearly gives us a look at Hal Jordan suiting up and stripping down (meaning, Reynolds in his underwear), as well as Green Lantern in flight with power ring alight.

What do you think of this new Green Lantern footage?

  1. I hope the costume looks better by the time this movie is released. Looks just a little too CGI in the ET commercial.

  2. I agree, that mask is far, far too bright.

  3. Ok…I figured out what I don’t like. I agree about the mask being too bright. But more than that, it looks like his pupils are green when he’s wearing the mask?! Pause the ET trailer at 32 seconds. Green pupils. I like in the comics when the eyes are just completely white when the mask is on and could understand if they showed the pupils for the movie, because he’d look inhuman, but green? Light green at that?! He looks silly. And the more I look at this paused video, the more it looks like someone photoshopped a Green Lantern costume onto Ben Stiller. Yep, I said it…Ben Stiller. A younger Ben Stiller, but Ben Stiller none the less.

  6. I have to assume that the CGI is not complete yet, and if it is then I guess I have some nerd rage toward this movie.

  7. It’s not the costume that bothers me; it is the fact it looks like a cheap comedy movie.

I shall wait until the trailer is available for final judgement though. So far though it looks like download fodder, which is a real shame.
