After nearly three months without new programming, Doctor Who will return for a new season beginning April 23, 2011 on BBC America.
The first episode, penned by showrunner Stephen Moffat, kicks off a two-part story that reunites eleventh Doctor lead Matt Smith and his companions Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) after a special summons takes them on an adventure that starts in a Utah desert and leads all the way back to the 1969 White House in Washington, D.C.
And since the filming is on location in North America, I can’t help but wonder if those dates will overlap long enough for the cast to make appearances at a comic convention or two.
