It’s Doctor Who Week! That’s right; it’s just a few days to go until the premiere episode of Series 6, The Impossible Astronaut. And even though there are many fans out there waiting for the new season with high anticipation, there’s also a bunch of people out there who are new to the Time Lord, so to help out new folks with the continuity, The Fine Brothers have put together a video: 47 Years of Doctor Who in 6 minutes.
Now, you could go down the route that Neil Gaimanrecommends:
People can be intimidated because they think there’s 47 years of stuff they need to see before they can enjoy anything. But what you want to say is, “No, look, there is a blue box. It’s bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. It can go anywhere in time and space, sometimes even where it’s meant to go. When it turns up, there’s a bloke in it called The Doctor, and there will be stuff wrong and he will do his best to sort it out. He’ll probably succeed because he’s awesome. Now, sit down, shut up, and watch Blink.
Or you could go down the route that The Fine Bros have done, highlighted that Doctor Who has been around longer than Star Wars and Star Trek, and is good old sci-fi fun, and squeeze all the background possible into a 6 minute video. Check it out:
