‘Wanted 2’ Brings Back Original Writers

Wanted

Ever since the first film hit, a sequel to the rather entertaining, albeit wholly vapid, actioner Wanted has been in the works. However, despite various different teams getting their chance to work on the film, it appears as though it will be the original duo who get the final stab at it.

THR is reporting that Derek Haas and Michael Brandt have been brought back to work on the upcoming film for Universal, and will be working on a new script, based on one penned back in 2009 by writer Evan Spiliotopoulos.

As I slightly mentioned above, I found the first film to be quite fun, but absolutely empty of anything other than a few slight thrills, so I can’t be honest when saying that I’d like to see a good sequel. That said, it will definitely be a film that I’ll be anxious to see, given the fact that the original writing team is back aboard.

What do you think?
