At Spike TV’s 2011 Scream Awards, the Harry Potter film series won the award for Ultimate SCREAM and the film franchise’s main star Daniel Radcliffe gave a heartfelt acceptance of the award.
Check out the video here below of Radcliffe’s award acceptance.
At the Scream Awards ceremony, actress Chloe Moretz announced the nominees for the Ultimate Scream, which includes awesome films and movies like Game of Thrones, True Blood, X-Men First Class, and The Walking Dead, but it was the Harry Potter series that won out. Since Radcliffe is currently starring on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, an event was staged in New York City at Lincoln Center where fans gathered to watch the actor accept the award from Samuel L. Jackson.
Later on in the ceremony, Ralph Fiennes won the award for Best Villain for playing Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. The actor, who was wearing a Voldemort t-shirt and referred to his character as “He Who Must Not Be Named,” couldn’t be at the ceremony, but a video was played of his acceptance speech. In an untelevised portion of the ceremony, Radcliffe won the award for Best Fantasy Actor for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
