At last night’s Scream Awards, Spike TV premiered a creepy and atmospheric (but brief) new trailer for the upcoming supernatural thriller The Woman in Black right after star Daniel Radcliffe accepted the award for Ultimate SCREAM on behalf of the Harry Potter film series (watch video of that here). Based on the novel by Susan Hill, The Woman in Black stars Radcliffe as an enterprising young attorney who encounters angry spirits when he journeys to a small village on assignment. The film was directed by James Watkins (Eden Lake) and the screenplay adaptation was written by Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass). Ciaran Hinds, who recently appeared alongside Radcliffe in the last Harry Potter movie, co-stars along with Janet McTeer (Velvet Goldmine) and Roger Allam (Game of Thrones).

The Woman in Black opens on February 3, 2012.
