At the moment, The Hangover: Part III is not officially happening yet. But considering the amount of money the first two installments made ($467.4 million and $581.4 million worldwide, respectively) and word from director Todd Phillips and now star Bradley Cooper, it’s no great stretch to assume we’re going to have at least one more Hangover.
Phillips is currently working on a script for the trilogy-maker, and, according to Cooper, the hope is that filming can begin by September.
The problem many had with the Part II is that it was pretty much a remake of the first movie (which was kind of a remake of Dude, Where’s My Car?, strangely enough), but it looks like they want to go in a different direction with the third. Question is does changing something that’s proven to make a ton of money twice work out in the end, or end disastrously?
Cooper also said that he thinks the movie will be set in Los Angeles (despite many wanting it to head to Amsterdam), but again, this is all to be made official.
What do you think about a third Hangover movie, and where would you want to see it take place?
