Sure, the past few years haven’t been great to one Mel Gibson, but hopefully a return to the genre that he lived in for most of his career, the action film, will be just what the doctor ordered.
RecentMoviePosters has the first poster for Gibson’s next film, How I Spent My Summer Vacation, and while it’s not much to look at, at least its something.
You can see the poster below.
The movie will be helmed by second unit staple Adrian Grunberg, and that in and of itself is honestly, quite interesting. He’s worked on films ranging from Apocalypto to The Limits Of Control, so his work is extensive. Toss in a premise finding Gibson as a criminal who gets put into a Mexican prison only to stay alive thanks to the help of a young boy, and you have an oddly intriguing project.
The film is said to hit in summer of next year, but the likelihood of that doesn’t seem very high. Here’s to hoping this writer may just be a bit skeptical given Gibson’s recent penchant for finding issues with his projects.
