Vonnegut is perhaps best known for his World War II satire, Slaughterhouse 5. In God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, we follow millionaire Eliot Rosewater on a bizarre, cross-country journey to find “heritage and philanthropic outcome” while he introduces the work of science fiction author Kilgore Trout, a character some believe to be Vonnegut’s alter ego for he appears in many of his works.
