Fans of the Halo video game series were ecstatic to find out that Halo 4 was on the way, and that with it would come the return of a one Master Chief, who hasn’t been seen since Halo 3.
Said fans can now mark off a date on their calendar to anticipate as publisher Microsoft Game Studios and developer 343 Industries have officially announced a release date. Players can get their hands on Halo 4 this upcoming fall when it hits store shelves on November 6th.
The date is important to the Halo universe, as Halo Waypoint points out, reminding us that “Master Chief found a weapon, a parched Grunt stumbled upon the starship, and Staff Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson discovered the answer to one of life’s most perplexing questions” on that particular date die hard fans should remember.
Not a whole lot is currently known about Halo 4, just that it will begin what’s being called the Reclaimer Trilogy, it will involve the Covenant, and, of course, that it will center on Master Chief and Cortana, among a few smaller details.
