Avengers Assemble (Music from the Motion Picture) is now available for pre-order (here’s the MP3 Download page).

The 13-song album contains tracks by numerous artists including Bush, Evanescence, Papa Roach, Scott Weiland, and a brand new single from Seattle grunge icons Soundgarden,”Live to Rise.” This is Soundgarden’s first new song in nearly 15 years (Watch a video here below.)

Based on the lineup, The Avengers soundtrack feels like a return to the sounds of Marvel’s previous films like Spider-Man and Daredevil, which featured plenty of hard rock anthems from popular acts like Theory of a Dead Man, The Strokes, Nickelback, Fuel, and Seether. Of course who can forget “Hero” by Chad Kroeger (featuring Josey Scott) with all that patriotic, soaring on the wings of eagles business.
