Liam Neeson is living proof that no matter how old you are, you can still kick ass (hopefully Bruce Willis can do that with A Good Day to Die Hard) and if you need any evidence of it, well we’ve got three brand new photos of the actor doing just that in the upcoming sequel to his 2008 hit, Taken 2.
But director Olivier Megaton (Columbiana) is putting a spin on the Taken story. Instead of Neeson’s character, Bryan Mills, doing the saving, it will be his daughter (played by Maggie Grace) saving Bryan. But by the looks of these photos, it may look like he doesn’t need any saving.
You can check out the images below.
Neeson spoke to Entertainment Weekly (who posted the pictures) about the sequel, sharing that it takes place a year-and-a-half or so after the first movie. And what is his character up to this time?
According to Neeson:
I’ve taken a job over in Istanbul looking after a sheik who is there, and afterward I discover that my wife’s going through a very bad time with her new husband. So I suggest she and my daughter come over for a few days and hang out with me in this amazing city. And then”¦ [laughs] all this shit happens, of course.
In addition to reestablishing himself as an action-star, Neeson has revived the generally dull January box office. Hopefully Neeson can do it all over again with Taken 2.
