The latest video blog from the production of the two-part adaptation of The Hobbit is now online. You can watch it here below.
After the exhaustive location shoot filming of The Hobbit moves to Stone Street Studios, the former paint factory in Wellington, New Zealand that was converted into a film studio for the production of director Peter Jackson‘s original Lord of the Rings trilogy. This video takes us on a tour of the Stone Street facility from the various offices and workshops to the studio’s many soundstages. We get to meet many of the assistants, secretaries, costumers, artists, craftsmen (and women), and effects personnel who are working their hardest to help The Hobbit live up to the promise of Jackson’s groundbreaking blockbuster fantasy trilogy.
We (almost) get a glimpse of something being prepped for the filming of the super secret “Film 2” and spend some time with crew members as they play an interesting game called Nine Square. The video closes off with a visit to WETA Workshop and the surprise reveal of who’s been filming the video blog this whole time.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens on December 14, 2012 and The Hobbit: There and Back Again opens on December 13, 2013.
