We’ve heard more rumors and whispers of a new He-Man movie being made than most folks can keep track of over the years. Once upon a time we had what sounded like the best possible direction the movie could be going in with word of an epic fantasy titled Grayskull: Masters of the Universe, which would be presented along the same lines as Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy with a little Batman Begins and The Matrix thrown in for good measure.
Much time has passed since then with new directors and writers and studios coming and going. But now Sony Pictures is ready to give it another go, and they’ve found the director they want to make it happen.
It’s being reported that Jon M. Chu has entered into talks to helm Masters of the Universe.
Chu doesn’t have a resume that would automatically make you think he’s the right choice for an epic He-Man fantasy flick. His biggest completed credits are Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D, and Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, but he has the action sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation on the way in 2013, which looks promising, gives him some experience with movies based on popular toys, and should easily become his go-to credit for future jobs, including Masters.
No timetable yet on when we might see the movie.
Who do you want to see play He-Man, Skelator, and the rest of the characters? If recent trends stand, it will be an actor who’s not hulking like, say, an ’80s Dolph Lundgren in Masters of the Universe, for example. Might it be someone like Chris Hemsworth, or someone more along the lines of a Chris Pine?

I would most def like to see either chris or liam hemsworth play He-man/Adam, skeletor is a toughie  that casting would be a lil more time consuming. I have become so exhausted with all the rumors spanning I swear the last almost 10 years :/
