John Goodman is a jack of all trades kind of actor. He can play a dad, a hero, a villain, a drunk, almost anything actually. Now the actor has signed on for a small cameo role in The Hangover Part III. Cameos have become a staple in The Hangover franchise. Mike Tyson and Nick Cassavetes both had cameos in the respective Hangover films. Director Todd Phillips even tried to reel in Mel Gibson and Liam Neeson for a couple of cameo roles, to no avail though.
Variety reports that Goodman will have a “small role as an antagonist.” If anything, Goodman’s screen time will be small, but he’s sure to have a comedic impact in the film.
The Hangover Part III will be Phillips’ last go around as a director. This could also be the last time we see Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis being drunk and disorderly. Though little is known about what the plot of the film is, but Philips is bringing back Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Mike Epps, Heather Graham, and possibly Mike Tyson to reprise their respective roles. This could indicate that The Hangover series will end in a very big way.
Goodman has many roles in upcoming films which include ParaNorman, Argo, Flight, and Trouble with the Curve. So even though its for a cameo, I like this casting.
The Hangover Part III opens in theaters on May 24, 2013.

I dont know how I feel about a third installment of these films – but I will see it JUST for Goodman, he is one of my favorite under rated actors

I think you might mean, “The Hangover Part III opens in theaters on May 24, 2013.” at the end instead of 2012.
