| $4 MP3 Album Deal: All Over The World: The Very Best Of ELO
Earlier this week, our own Mr. Babyman heaped a lot of praise on the ELO compilation Playlist: The Very Best Of Electric Light Orchestra, which is on sale in MP3 format for only $5 through the end of the month. Now, Amazon is offering up another Electric Light Orchestra collection, All Over The World: The Very Best Of ELO, for only $3.99 through this weekend. A lot of the songs are duplicated on both albums, but today’s deal has 20 tracks, including some of the selections from the Xanadu soundtrack (which I’ve been obsessed with since childhood, and therefore highly recommend, yes, seriously). Perhaps you think you don’t know ELO, but once you hear this stuff, you’ll recognize it: “Evil Woman,” “Don’t Bring Me Down,” “Turn To Stone,” “Strange Magic” – you know it. Browse all 1,000 albums on sale this month for only $5 each, as well as several albums on sale this week for only $2.99 each.

| $5 MP3 Album Deal: Fiona Apple ‘Tidal’ |

This month, the Fiona Apple album Tidal is on sale for only $5 in MP3 format. Tidal marks the 1996 debut of notorious wild child Fiona Apple. Although just 17 when she recorded it, Tidal betrayed a depth and sensitivity far beyond her youth, establishing her as a singer-songwriting force to be reckoned with, and would set her light years above pop rock peers like Jewel (who sounded like she was reciting from her 10th grade poetry class). Songs like “Sleep to Dream,” “Criminal,” and “The First Taste” were expressions of Apple’s primal, angry — even sexual side, while with tracks like “Never Is a Promise,” “Sullen Girl,” and “The Child is Gone” Apple dragged us to the depths of her desolation. Tidal would go on to reach triple platinum status, be named one of the best albums of the nineties, and launch the mercurial career of an emotionally troubled artist who would continue to transform her pain (and pleasures) into song for our appreciation. Browse all 1,000 albums on sale this month for only $5 each, as well as several albums on sale this week for only $2.99 each.

| ‘Fifty Shades’ Knocked From No. 1 On Amazon’s Best Sellers By ‘Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia’ |

The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, a 248-page hardcover encyclopedia on the Legend of Zelda universe being published by Dark Horse, went up for pre-order at Amazon yesterday, quickly shooting up the site’s Top 100 Best Sellers in books list where it currently sits at #1. In case that doesn’t seem ultra-newsworthy to you, let me stress that it’s actually a major feat, considering to get there The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia had to knock Fifty Shades, E.L. James’ long-reigning, wildly popular S&M-heavy book series, from the top spot. And how do the folks over at Dark Horse feel about their upcoming book bumping Fifty Shades out of the #1 spot: “…Someone had to do it!,” said Aub Driver, publicity coordinator for Dark Horse Comics, who also told us that the publisher is “thrilled to see geek, video game and pop culture enthusiasts embrace this highly sought after title with so much love.”
