Greetings! It’s Adam Frazier aka FamousMonster and it’s time for another transmission from Skull-Face Island. As always I’m joined by Farrah Fawcett’s mouth double, David Allen! And still recovering from a Pachycephalosaurus attack, producer Tim Grant!
Today on the Show: We talk about Jamie Travis‘ raunchy sex-comedy For a Good Time Call… as well as Jake Schreier‘s Robot & Frank. We’ll flip the switch on the Geek-O-Matic News Machine and discuss director Rupert Wyatt‘s departure from the Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel, Larry David‘s improv comedy, titled Clear History, which stars Bill Hader and Danny McBride, and we’ll take a look at the Criterion Collection’s December releases.
Also, we’ll fantasize about the day when we’re finally rescued from this godforsaken place – or in my case, how I’ll finally be able to get some peace and quiet once David and Tim leave. Mar-10 and I have been building a catapult out of plane wreckage and these mysterious glowing stones we found in the jungle – can’t wait to finally try that out without David and Tim scolding me…
If you missed our previous transmissions, let me explain how this works. In the year 1991, US Flight 1313 experienced a mysterious, magnetic anomaly somewhere over the South Pacific. Engines failed, pilots cursed and prayed to their Gods, and three boys (that’s us!) washed ashore on Skull-Face Island, which of course is an ISLAND in the SHAPE of a SKULL! How cool is that!?
After exploring the dark interior of the island with machetes and bullwhips, we found an old communications array. Here’s the weird thing, it still works. Not only does it work, this thing is like Netflix, Amazon Instant, Video on Demand, and Apple TV combined – it’s got all the latest movies and television shows. We haven’t even bothered sending out a distress signal yet because we’re re-watching all 65 episodes of ABC’s Dinosaurs right now”¦
