When Mondo releases their latest piece of artwork, you can be sure movie poster lovers will be sitting at their computer, idly waiting for the time that it goes on sale. Now sometimes these posters are only on sale at specific locations, like the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas, or in this case at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, California.
Mondo is teaming up with the New Bev, where they will be handing out two one-of-a-kind posters for Halloween and Big Top Pee-Wee. These posters will be released on consecutive nights. On top of that Paul Reubens, director Randall Kleiser and co-star Penelope Ann Miller, will be there to hand out the posters for Pee-Wee. John Carpenter will be there to hand out the poster for Halloween. You can take a look at these very cool posters below.
If you are interested in adding these posters to your collection, you must purchase tickets to the event. A regular price ticket will cost you $100, while a VIP is priced at $500. Of course the VIP ticket does come with some extra enmities. Not only will you get premium seating, but you will also get the variant poster and a meet and great with either Reubens or Carpenter. Sounds exciting right? If you are still interested in attending these events, click here and here to purchase your ticket(s).
Now for the poster specs. DKNG is behind the Pee-Wee poster which is 24â€x36â€. Ken Taylor did the Halloween poster which is 20†x 36â€. The unfortunate thing about these posters is that they will only be available to those who attend the event. While it may seem a bit pricey just to get a poster, it is all for a good cause. Proceeds for the event will go to the Debra Hill Foundation. Hill, who passed away in 2005, was known as one of the top movie producers of the ’80s and ’90s.
I can think of no better way to honor her memory than with two very cool posters from two very cool artists.
