Each and every week “Donner” Henchman21 AND “Blitzen” MK2Fac3 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, they looks forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and they’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of December 12, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. This Wednesday is a special day. I mean, 12/12/12 must have some kind of numerological significance or something. More than that, it’s a day for new comics, which is good news for everyone. So, here are a few books to check out this week. Remember, comics make a great gift during this joyous time of year, so pick up a few to hand out or just buy a bunch for yourself. This ain’t no naughty or nice list, it’s the GoD List!

In what has to be one of the oddest cross promotions Marvel Comics has executed, the company’s new brand Marvel NOW! will be a featured category on the television quiz show Jeopardy! this Thursday. “The Answer: Marvel NOW! on JEOPARDY!. The Question: “˜How is Marvel reaching new fans and bring them into comic book stores to experience the most exciting new series of the year?'” said David Gabriel, SVP Sales, Marvel Entertainment.

The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a Doctor Who-themed shirt called “10th of Hearts” by WinterArtwork. The sale began at Teefury today, Wednesday, December 12, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site for $10 anymore, though it might continue into the next day for $13 (look for the After Hours bar at the top).

| Ravi Shankar, Indian Music Legend, Dies At 92
Ravi Shankar, who in essence almost singlehandedly brought Eastern “raga” music to the American shores and wound up influencing scores of famous musicians and bands, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles to name two, passed away in San Diego, CA, on December 11, 2012, reports The New York Times. He was 92. Shankar had suffered from heart ailments and underwent heart valve replacement surgery it was reported in a statement released by Shankar’s family. Excelling on the sitar, an eclectic string instrument in which neighboring strings on the neck in essence resonate when a melody string is played, gave off a sound that was instantaneously connected with Shankar’s style and musical language. Shankar played like an extension of his personality, soft spoken, well mannered, respectful, yet with an attitude and a verve almost akin to a Jimi Hendrix.
