Archer Season Four

If you’re a fan of FX’s Archer like I am, you’ve been eagerly anticipating the premier of season four. Well, Archer is back and it’s just as good as ever. I’ve seen the first four episodes of season four, and everything fans have come to love is here. Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) is still a jerk, Malory (Jessica Walter) is still a bitch, Lana (Aisha Tyler) still has monster hands, Cyril (Chris Parnell) is still a wuss, Krieger (Lucky Yates) is still a mad scientist, and Pam and Carol (Judy Greer and Amber Nash) are still idiots. The show still has the clever mix of pop culture references and witty humor that you’ve come to love.

You’ve never seen Archer before? Well you should do yourself a favor and watch it. It is hands down one of the funniest shows on TV. Catch up on the series: Season 1, Season 2, and the recently released Season 3, available on Blu-Ray or DVD. All seasons are also available through Amazon’s Instant Video service in both standard and high definition.

Archer is about the crack spy team of ISIS, the International Secret Intelligence Service. The team is led by Sterling Archer, a secret agent who isn’t very good at keeping the secret part a secret. Archer is like James Bond is James Bond was a loud American jerk who likes booze even more. He is forced to deal with enemy agents, explosive situations and an overbearing mother who is also his boss. The rest of the ISIS crew has just as many issues to deal with. Most of their problems are caused by Archer, which they never let him hear the end of.

I won’t spoil the first four episodes, but I’ll tell you that the crossover with Bob’s Burgers (which also stars H Jon Benjamin) happens early in episode 1; episode 2 features fellow FX star Timothy Olyphant as an old friend of Archer; episode 3 deals with Ray getting over his paralysis with the help of some invasive surgery by Dr. Kreiger; and episode 4 has Archer bonding with his new stepfather. I laughed a ton in each episode and now I can’t wait for everyone else to see them so we can all share in the humor.

Make sure you don’t miss the Archer Season 4 premiere on January 17, 2013 at 10pm on the FX network.

Check out the videos here below of the Archer cast talking about their perfect day, as well as a promo for the upcoming season from Archer himself. You can also read up more about Archer, download a fan guide, screensavers, and wallpaper, and much more over at the official FX site: www.fxnetworks.com/archer.
