‘Archer’ Gets Extended For Three More Seasons

No matter what they like to call themselves, Archer, Lana, Cyril, and the rest of the gang that used to be spies, drug smugglers, and CIA freelancers cannot seem to stick to one job. Of course, just by doing that takes away from the fun of it all. But as Archer season 7 ended on a huge cliffhanger, it was unclear if FX wanted to explore more of what the worst thing that could go wrong for these former spies was.
But worry not as FX wants to make sure that they get a proper ending as the network has officially confirmed that The show will be extended all the way to season 10. However, there is a small catch. There will be less episodes for each season. More on the story below.

SDCC 2015: ‘Archer’ Panel – What’s Next?

Archer has rocked the cable universe for 6 seasons and the FX show rode into San Diego Comic-Con for a panel discussion, to prep fans for the upcoming season 7. For those who haven’t dabbled in the “Danger Zone†(cue Kenny Loggins!), Archer is a wonderfully crazy, borderline pornographic, and altogether maniacal frenzy of animated drugs, guns, spies, and sex. It focuses on momma’s boy spy Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin), his on-again, off-again love interest Lana (LANA!!!) played by Aisha Tyler, and their partners in secret spy agency ISIS… yeah, well… until they kinda sorta had to change that.
Watch the panel videos below.

Arrested Development
Netflix [Seasons 1-4]
DVD [Seasons 1-3]
Created by Mitchell Hurwitz
Executive Produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Mitchell Hurwitz, David Nevins
Starring Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Tony Hale, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, Alia Shawkat, Henry Winkler, Scott Baio, Ron Howard
Fox [Seasons 1-3]
Netflix [Season 4]
Originally Broadcast: November 2, 2003
Some say it’s the most popular sitcom from the 2000s. Others deem it has a cult following. Either way, Arrested Development has become a phenomenon among its fans – a show that, while created by Mitchell Hurwitz, is driven mainly by Ron Howard. Taking the conception of filming a sitcom using the style of reality television, and littering the show with pop culture references (as well as its own memes that it develops over time), Arrested Development is an amusing viewing experience, though overrated.
The series takes on the concept of "riches to rags", of a wealthy family that fall on bad times when their father George Bluth (the CEO, played by Jeffrey Tambor) is arrested by the SEC. Taking a massive hit to the company, son Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) takes on the responsibility of bringing the business back to profitability while trying to keep his family together.

Archer
Season 4, Episode 13 – “Sea Tunt: Part 2â€
Directed by Bryan Fordney
Written by Adam Reed & Rick Cleveland
Starring: H. Jon Benjamin, Judy Greer, Amber Nash, Chris Parnell, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Eugene Mirman, Kristen Schaal, and Jon Hamm.
FX
Air date: April 11, 2013
What always works so well for me in a comedy like Archer is how well developed each and all of the characters are. Guest stars or series regulars, Adam Reed and company nail the interactions between all involved. “Sea Tunt: Part 2” fully capitalizes on some of the exact situations you’d expect to happen when Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) and the rest of the ISIS field agents go to an underwater base. But there are still just enough swerves and twists and turns to make the episode enjoyable and downright hilarious.

TV Preview: ‘Archer’ Season 4 (Episodes 1-4)
|
 |

If you’re a fan of FX’s Archer like I am, you’ve been eagerly anticipating the premier of season four. Well, Archer is back and it’s just as good as ever. I’ve seen the first four episodes of season four, and everything fans have come to love is here. Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) is still a jerk, Malory (Jessica Walter) is still a bitch, Lana (Aisha Tyler) still has monster hands, Cyril (Chris Parnell) is still a wuss, Krieger (Lucky Yates) is still a mad scientist, and Pam and Carol (Judy Greer and Amber Nash) are still idiots. The show still has the clever mix of pop culture references and witty humor that you’ve come to love.
You’ve never seen Archer before? Well you should do yourself a favor and watch it. It is hands down one of the funniest shows on TV. Catch up on the series: Season 1, Season 2, and the recently released Season 3, available on Blu-Ray or DVD. All seasons are also available through Amazon’s Instant Video service in both standard and high definition.
