The first trailer for Marc Forster‘s adaptation of the Max Brooks book World War Z looked pretty promising…until the zombies showed up, that is. Ultra-fast, heavily CGI, and moving as one like a pack of insects or a hungry wave of water, these zombies simply looked unappealing.
Now comes a new look at the movie, a 30-second TV spot that will air this Sunday during the Super Bowl.
Will this second peek at World War Z make you more excited to see it or less? Only one way to find out! Proceed, and may you find the answers that you seek.
The movie stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, and Matthew Fox. It hits theaters on June 21, 2013.

YYAAAYYYYY.
The whole planets population must die so BRAD PITT’S family gets to
live. Welcome to the lottery civilisation. The powerful connected few
get out whilst the rest of us are shoehorned into large concrete prisons
to eat each other. Nice.

So, Paramount sent an email to the Houston Zombie Walk officially stating the creative direction for this piece of crap was to focus on “war” and less on “zombies”. Essentially disregarding one of the greatest modern novels. It’s a disgrace, given we just came out of a decade of war.

This was a long time coming and we all knew the book was going to be bastardized when the movie was announced anyway. Couldn’t possibly be translated to the big screen without losing parity with the published stories. Sad.
