The Great Wall starring Matt Damon

Any normal film about The Great Wall of China would be otherwise been seen as a documentary or a dramatization of how the wall was built. But add a monster element to it, and it has all the makings of a blockbuster tentpole movie, especially if said film has cast a very marketable name headlining it, like Matt Damon. Universal and Legendary have released the second trailer for The Great Wall.

Check it out here below.

G.I. Joe #1 ushers in a new era of awesomeness for the Joe team. It’s G.I. Joe against Cobra, the…..peacekeepers. Yes. You read that right. Peacekeepers. As in people who keep the peace. Let’s see how that works out for them.

For the first time in history, G.I. Joe has a woman at the helm. Literally. Writer Karen Traviss makes the jump from military fiction novels to comics, and the one burning question that I have is, why didn’t she do it sooner?

G.I. Joe #14 starts with a shock and then just keeps on going. Talk about ACTION!!! There’s more than you can possibly handle in this issue. All this and I haven’t even mentioned the great story and awesome art.

Writer Paul Allor lays out a story that reads like an episode of the original G.I. Joe cartoon, only better. With more character depth and action and modern day military situations. Allor manages to get all the trademark G.I. Joe hallmarks into this issue, while telling a great story that focuses on the newest Joe team member, Hashtag, and her trouble to fit into the Joe team when her position is eliminated. There’s some great character development for her, but it doesn’t take away from the missions that the Joes are sent on. This was actually a real page turner, and Allor managed to give us a great close to this issue, yet leaving the characters in a great “to be continued” moment.
