A movie version of the hit video game Spy Hunter has been in the works for a while now, with no luck getting it through to production yet.
Dwayne Johnson and directors like John Woo and Paul W.S. Anderson have been attached to the project at one point or another, and now Warner Brothers is ready to give the movie another chance at making it to your eyes.
The studio now has Ruben Fleischer attached to direct the movie, and they’re brought in a new writer in Carter Blanchard to pen the script.
Spy Hunter is a game where you’re in a high-speed chase driving a car right out of James Bond’s garage, complete with smoke and oil to slow your pursuers, and even the ability shoot off the road into the water as a boat.
Fleischer is best known as the director of the hit horror comedy, Zombieland, and also directed the recent crime drama Gangster Squad.
No word yet on when the movie might hit theaters.
