We’ve heard about the possible Marvel TV series based on S.H.I.E.L.D. for a while now, and now comes great news for those of you have been eagerly looking forward to a little Marvel action on one of the big networks.
According to reports, ABC has already decided to pick up the series, which will apparently be called Agents of SHIELD, for an entire first season. Until now, there was only a pilot being made to try and impress the suits into ordering the series. Mission accomplished.
Not much else is known, though it’s said that the first preview of the show is set to be aired during the finale of Once Upon A Time.
The cast for Agents of SHIELD includes Clark Gregg, reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson, ER star Ming Na as Agent Melinda May, Ian De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Gemma Simmons, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, and Nashville star Chloe Bennet as Skye.
The Avengers director Joss Whedon also directed the pilot episode of the show.
