Director Bryan Singer tweeted a pair of new photos from the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past featuring a shaggy-looking Professor X (James McAvoy), a de-Beast-ified Hank McCoy (Nicholas Hoult), and – of course – Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) being the laconic badass as usual.
You can check them out here below.
Here’s the good professor just chilling in his customized wheelchair with a Led Zeppelin level of hair growth going there.
I’m sure the question of why Hank’s supposedly permanent transformation into the furry blue Beast we all know and (barely) tolerate has been reversed will be answered and will have something to do with changing timelines.
There’s going to be a lot of open collars in this movie. Now bring on the X-ladies in bell bottoms.
X-Men: Days of Future Past opens in 2D and 3D (which it is actually being filmed in) on July 18, 2014.
Maybe Beast is wearing an “image inducer” similar to the ones him and Nightcrawler used in a few of the early Chris Claremont-penned X-Men issues that creates a holographic illusion of him being human? Just a thought.

I had completely forgot about the image inducer. Nice call back Rogue.

Or they are just going to CG the whole bit over the top.
