After confirming that David Goyer would come back to write the screenplay for Man Of Steel 2, and reportedly signed on to write Justice League, Goyer is making the final turn of the press rounds for Man of Steel, which opened in theaters this weekend. While most of us are ready for the return of the famed DC Comics hero, Goyer is slowly preparing for the sequel of the film and giving us small hints about Justice League.
The early signing only signals how confident Warner Bros. Studios is in Man of Steel, and because of that, not only are they putting the sequel and the Justice League film on a fast track into production, but they are also getting ready for other solo DC Hero films like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and more. Hit the jump for more details.
Speaking to Bleeding Cool, Goyer talked about what kind of discussions he and director Zack Snyder had about building up the world of Man of Steel, and how the film sets up Justice League.
“It is our intention that, in success, [Man of Steel] would be the zero issue and from this point onward, possible films could expand into a shared universe. In our world, the Man of Steel world, Zack has gone on record saying that we’re implying there are other superheroes in this world. But I don’t know that they’ve come forward yet. The idea is that Superman is the first one. There might be people helping people, but not in costumes, and that Superman comes forward and announces himself to the world. In him announcing himself, he’s the one that changes things.
While Batman wasn’t necessarily in the mix of upcoming films, rest assure WB hasn’t forgotten about the Dark Knight. For one thing, Snyder does confirm that there is a satellite that belongs to Bruce Wayne that appears in the film. So the site asked if Superman would be the inspiration for Bruce Wayne to become Batman:
“Well, yes”¦ there’s definitely”¦ I don’t want to get too in depth. Obviously, Zack and I have had conversations”¦ but there would be a cause and effect. And that would extend to the collateral damage that happened, and to what other countries feel about the fact Superman calls America his home. Man of Steel doesn’t exist in a vaccum.”
Snyder has stated that he would like to see at least one more Man of Steel film before seeing Justice League. For one thing it allows for the DC Cinematic Universe to expand. But to make it even bigger, Warner Bros is talking about getting ready for films for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash.
According to The Wrap, WB is reportedly “kicking the tires” for those films. The report states that the studio would like to see at least two more Superman films before preparing for Justice League. The other aforementioned heroes would get their respective films after the Justice League, which is somewhat of a departure from what Marvel Studios has done for their cinematic universe.
It should be interesting to see how WB walks along the path they have laid out for themselves. A lot can happen between now and the Justice League, and well after.

I’m assuming the Green Lantern movie isn’t connected to this new series; so I hope they try and get Ryan Reynolds to play the Flash. And,make Nathan Fillion the new Hal Jordan.I also suggest Hemsworth (either one) for AuquaMan
