| UPDATED! Xbox One Will Not Include A Headset; Current Headsets Will Not Work With Next-Gen Console Either
After Microsoft finally came clean about everything their next generation console, the Xbox One, would do/require, most people were outraged at the company’s forceful strategy, which would remove their potential customers’ options and instead try to sell a system they would still control and be able to keep track of what you were doing/playing. Eventually Microsoft buckled under the building pressure and smartly decided to remove the restrictions that had so many irate, and at the cost of having to sacrifice some of the features they were excited about introducing. Now comes something else that could lead to more anger. It’s been officially confirmed that the Xbox One will not come with a headset. Even worse, your Xbox 360 headset and those fancy Turtle Beach headphones you bought also will not fully work with the new console.

As kids, we all wanted a superpower…right? Okay, be honest here. That carried through to adulthood, didn’t it? Especially when we go see any of the blockbuster comic-based films that Hollywood has turned (or churned) out in the last decade or two. Well, Uncanny #1 is the story of a guy with just such an ability. What he does with it is less than spectacular, but we all make poor decisions from time to time. Okay, first off it’s good to know who you’re dealing with here. The guy’s name is Weaver and he’s a con artist. Sure, he’s got the badass ability to siphon the thoughts and knowledge from people that he touches, but he uses it to gamble and cheat people out of their money. Unfortunately for him, this information that he absorbs is very temporary. And he’s started noticing that his power is becoming slightly unreliable, though he has no idea why. But Weaver’s life is about to change. Other folks have taken an interest in him and, luckily, they’ve got pretty good timing. A last minute rescue finds him racing off with no idea what the future holds.

| Starz Confirms Full Season Order For New Ronald D. Moore Series ‘Outlander’
We first found out that a new TV series was being developed based on the bestselling Outlander book series by author Diana Gabaldon last July, and that it was being developed by by the Battlestar Galactica re-imagining developer Ronald D. Moore. A few months later it was revealed that the series was being set up at Starz, one of the networks that fans of the books seemed to most want to see it land on. Those same fans will be elated to find out that now the series isn’t just being developed with Starz, but that the company has officially ordered an entire 16-episode first season of Outlander. That’s six more episodes than us Game of Thrones fanatics get every nine months. Either that or they’re planning to film two eight-episode seasons back-to-back.

The Westwood Witches #2
Written by El Torres
Illustrated by Abel GarcÃa
Lettered by Malaka Studio
Amigo Comics
Release Date: June 26, 2013
Cover Price: $3.99
I’m sure that I’m not alone in the opinion that indie comics usually fall at one of the extreme ends of the quality spectrum. Sometimes a writer or an artist seems to come out of the ether with a jaw-dropping creation while others tend to feel like sophomoric attempts at best. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I picked up The Westwood Witches #2 by El Torres (The Suicide Forest from IDW) and Abel GarcÃa from Amigo Comics. I feared the worst, honestly thinking that much would be lost on an American audience, but I held out the hope that this Spanish team would give the 4-issue horror series the same careful attention that has been shown in the horror film industry in Spain in recent years. They completely blew me away.
