$5 MP3 Album Deal: The Steve Miller Band ‘Greatest Hits: 1974-1978’
|
Greatest Hits: 1974 – 1978, a sonic compendium of chart successes and FM favorites by The Steve Miller Band, is now available on MP3 format from Amazon this month for only $5.00.
Although guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Steve Miller and his self-titled band had their peak success in the mid 1970s, the body of work here on this greatest hits collection still stands up as one of rock and pop rock’s great offerings. Miller took a bluesy style and a little Beatles to boot, some Creedence Clearwater Revival and some good ol’ no frills rock and roll and mashed it up into delectable tunes that have been rotating on the airwaves and out of millions of speakers for almost 40 years now. With hits like “The Joker,” the on the lam “Take the Money and Run,” the pop classic “Fly Like An Eagle,” soaring rock like “Rock N’ Me,” and favorites like “Jet Airliner,” “Jungle Love,” and plenty more, this Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits album is a no-brainer and a good time for all indeed.
Browse over 100 albums on sale this month for only $5 each!

Watch This Supercut Of ‘Saturday Night Live’ Actors Breaking Character

I’ve been watching Saturday Night Live my whole life and one thing I love is when the actors, who most of the time are performing live, find something so funny that they break character.
Some of my favorites moment over the years have been when Rachel Dratch struggles to remain miserable during a “Debbie Downer” skit (wah wah); when a young Christina Applegate and castmember David Spade had to cover their faces to hide the laughter brought on by Chris Farley’s motivational speaker, Matt Foley (“…in a van down by the river!”); Will Ferrell and Jimmy Fallon in the Blue Oyster Cult “More Cowbell” sketch, and basically anything with Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz acting against one another (I don’t think they ever kept their composure).
Now, Slackstory has put together a supercut of SNL actors breaking character. You can watch the four-minute video here below.

You can watch the video here below.
Freeman filmed his portion from the New Zealand set of The Hobbit and was in his Bilbo attire; Cumberbatch was on vacation and his message was a bit longer and possibly more revealing.

‘Game Of Thrones’: Frey Celebrations Plans The Red Wedding
|

The folks over at Shutterstock, best known for their stock image and photo gallery, thought it would be fun to take the Houses of Westeros on Game Of Thrones and turn them into modern-day corporations.
The company ingeniously used selections from their massive image library to create all these mock ads for corporate giants like AirTargaryen, Lannister Investment Corporation, and GreyJoy Cruises (who have special Whale Watching packages!) earlier this year just before the start of Season 3 of the HBO television series. They then updated their feature last month to include a new company after the airing of the infamous “The Rains of Castamere” aka “Red Wedding” episode — Frey Celebrations event planners, whose motto is “We understand the importance of vows.” HA HA HA!!!
Below is the wedding invitation and cake they envisioned Frey Celebrations would create for the June 2nd wedding of Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey.
