Lindsey Stirling and Peter Hollens are a pair of ultra talented musicians, Stirling with her violin (and sometimes her voice), Hollens with only his voice. They also happen to be geeks, which can mean only one thing: awesome frakkin’ geeky music videos. And they have made many of them.
If you’re unfamiliar with their work, check out Stirling’s very popular mixtures of music, cosplay, and gorgeous scenery, including her Lord of the Rings Medley, Zelda Medley, and Assassin’s Creed III; and Hollens’ videos, where he not only sings the song but all of the different pieces of the song you’d usually use instruments for—basically a one-man acapella band—such as his version of “Pippin’s Song” from Lord of the Rings, “The Rains of Castamere” from Game of Thrones, and “Misty Mountains” from The Hobbit. They’ve also worked together in the past before, once for this epic Skyrim video and again to take on the Game of Thrones theme.
Now that you’ve got enough geeky music to get you through the day, here’s more. To end last week’s Geek Week over at YouTube, Stirling and Hollens teamed up once again, this time to tackle Star Wars. The medley video covers various iconic Star Wars tracks, and you can check it out below.
