At this point in time Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s films after his years as governor have been less than stellar. The Last Stand and Escape Plan both performed below expectations. But that hasn’t necessarily discouraged the actor from continuing to do what he does.
Now in the David Ayers‘s Sabatoge, Schwarzenegger leads an elite DEA hit team (Sam Worthington, Terrence Howard, Mireille Enos, and Joe Manganiello) and successful raids a cartel’s safehouse. Together they uncover $10 million in cash, but instead of reporting to the authorities, the team hides it away. But before the dust can settle, members of the team start to be assassinated, and it’s up to Schwarzenegger to find out if it’s the cartel’s doing or if it’s someone from his own team.

This honestly doesn’t look any different from any of the other projects that Schwarzenegger has done post-political career. Lot of action, cheesy one-liners, and muscle tone. But who is to say that is a bad thing?
An elite DEA task force deals with the world’s deadliest drug cartels. Specializing in complex mobile operations, the team executes a tactical raid on a cartel safe house. What looks to be a typical raid turns out to be an elaborate theft operation, pre-planned by the DEA squad. After hiding millions in stolen cash, the team believes their secret is safe – until someone begins assassinating them one by one.
Olivia Williams also stars. Written and directed by David Ayers, Sabotage opens in theaters on April 11, 2014.
