Steam Box/Steam Machine Console and Controller

For those who are not yet aware, the popular digital PC gaming platform from Valve Corporation, Steam, is making the jump to consoles in what hopes to be the future of gaming. A console for PC gamers with PC graphics that is known as Steam Box or Steam Machine.

It won’t be until sometime next year when we can get our hands on one, and it’s not yet known how much one will run you, but early versions of the system have been sent out for testing to current Steam users. One such user has been documenting their experience on YouTube, giving us a solid look at multiple games and what they could look like on the console, as well as what it looks like using the Steam Box controller.

Click on over to the other side now to see the Steam Box/Steam Machine and its controller in action, and be sure to share your thoughts on how the system is looking and if you’ll buy one!

Bill Willingham gives us another installment of his nigh-legendary series in Fables, Vol. 19. Before this trade paperback continues the story of the exiled “Fables” in Fabletown, NY, the first third of this edition features the collected back-up stories of Bufkin, the flying monkey with no wings and Lily, his miniature-sized girlfriend.

The collected back-up stories are illustrated by Shawn McManus. His slightly-cartoonish style works well for Bufkin’s revolution in Oz. Couple that with Willingham’s writing, and this self-contained story masterfully transitions from a revolutionary war against a tyrant, into an adventurous love story that follows the odd-couple of Bufkin and Lily until their beautiful end.

Carboard Box Office

What do you do when you move to a new country and have loads and loads of cardboard boxes everywhere, PLUS a new baby to take care of? Most of us simply throw the boxes away or give them to others who can use them. Lilly, Leon, and their baby Orson…they do something much more creative.

They decided to try and recreate classic movies with all of the extra boxes and whatever else they had around the house. It began with one picture, and it quickly became apparent that what they did was popular. And so, naturally, they did another, and another, and so on. Carboard Box Office was born!

Now the family has a growing album of movie recreations, including classics like Jaws, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Alien, and more. You can check out some of their work below.

Home Alone Paul Little

Don’t ask for much of an explanation on this one, folks.

In what can only be described as quite strange, a man named Paul Little has decided to semi-recreate scenes from the hit movie Home Alone…playing every single character himself. It’s a “semi” recreation because he doesn’t actually use scenes from the movie, but still images, replacing characters’ faces with his own and reciting various memorable lines from the movie.

You can check out the video below.

Transcendence Teaser Trailer

A couple of days back a pair of teaser trailers were released for Transcendence, the feature directorial debut of Inception and The Dark Knight cinematographer Wally Pfister starring Johnny Depp.

Usually a studio releases teasers and trailers here and there over many months, but as it turns out, Warner Brothers couldn’t wait to share Transcendence with the masses. In addition to the two teasers, a third teaser and the first full trailer were also released later that same day. Odd!

You can check out the full trailer and third teaser trailer below now if you’ve not yet seen them.
