‘The Tick’: First Look At Peter Serafinowicz In Amazon’s Live-Action Reboot Pilot

In March, it was announced that Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television were developing a pilot for a live-action series based on Ben Edlund‘s superhero spoof comic book The Tick, with Edlund scripting and serving as an executive producer and British comedic genius Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun of the Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy) cast in the title role. The pilot was directed by Wally Pfister, the cinematographer on all three of Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies, Inception, and Moneyball.
Recently Amazon released both the premiere date for the pilot and a small set of images, including our first look at Serafinowicz is full Tick attire. You can check out the pictures here below.

Johnny Depp Goes Full Digital In New ‘Transcendence’ Trailer

The trailers keep on coming for Transcendence, the directorial debut for frequent Christopher Nolan cinematographer Wally Pfister. We’ve already seen some teaser trailers and one full trailer, and now comes a second full trailer.
The movie stars Johnny Depp as a man working to create a machine with an unheard of level of intelligence…something an anti-technology extremist group does not want to see him succeed at. When they attempt to stop him, he becomes part of the machine he was trying to build, and more powerful than ever.
You can read a full synopsis and watch the new trailer for Transcendence below.

Full Trailer For ‘Transcendence’ Starring Johnny Depp Released

A couple of days back a pair of teaser trailers were released for Transcendence, the feature directorial debut of Inception and The Dark Knight cinematographer Wally Pfister starring Johnny Depp.
Usually a studio releases teasers and trailers here and there over many months, but as it turns out, Warner Brothers couldn’t wait to share Transcendence with the masses. In addition to the two teasers, a third teaser and the first full trailer were also released later that same day. Odd!
You can check out the full trailer and third teaser trailer below now if you’ve not yet seen them.

Hilariously Honest Trailer For Chistopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’
|
 |

ScreenJunkies’ honest trailers have a way of pushing fanatics’ buttons in the wrong way, but there are those who find their trailers quite humorous. For the most part, the humor lies within nitpicking the smaller things that go unnoticed by the directors and film editors. We previously posted an honest trailer for The Avengers, which pointed out some issues with continuity, heroes never wearing earpieces to communicate, Asgardian gods dying, and other things.
Now a new honest trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises (which is out now on Blu-ray/DVD combo-pack) will definitely ruffle a few feathers. The highly anticipated third and final entry in Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy was perhaps the most polarizing because fans either forgave the film’s glaring plot holes in favor of Nolan’s eye and Wally Phfister’s cinematography or they gave the film hell by posting their anger on Twitter or Facebook. Check out the honest trailer here below.

Warner Bros. Launches ‘For Your Consideration’ Awards Campaign For ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

The year is coming to a close and that means studios will be releasing and pushing the films they feel should be considered for some major awards. One studio making such a push is Warner Bros., a studio with a literal treasure trove of movies that could be in the running to the top prize. Films like Magic Mike and Argo could be some serious contenders, as could The Hobbit, but WB is launching a campaign to put The Dark Knight Rises on the awards season map.
It’s not a huge surprise to see WB make such a move, after all The Dark Knight Rises was one of WB’s highest grossing films of the year. But could the film win Best Picture? It depends on who you ask of course, but in my opinion it does stand a chance against something like Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, or more of this year’s films that have yet to be released.
