Tommy Wiseau’s ‘The Room’ Finally Gets An Honest Trailer

You’d think that Screen Junkies and their Honest Trailers would have tackled a movie like Tommy Wiseau‘s unbelievably bad yet still extremely popular movie The Room by now. But for whatever reason or reasons, it hadn’t happened. Not until now, that is.
With the movie about the making of this trainwreck, The Disaster Artist, releasing this week, Honest Trailers decided to finally do the inevitable and finally take on Wiseau’s disasterpiece of a cult classic.
See how it went in the video below.

Screen Junkies Gives ‘Fate Of The Furious’ The Honest Trailer Treatment
|

In preparation for the Blu-ray release of yet another movie combining F-words and numbers, the gang at Screen Junkies dedicated this week’s Honest Trailer to The Fate of the Furious, the 8th installment in the franchise that is just as dumb, yet not as insulting as Transformers. Amazing to think, based on the last few films in this series, what they have become, but this franchise started with street racing criminals with a cop who had to infiltrate the gang… so basically Point Break with cars. Now the Furious squad has essentially outfit-less superheroes, even narrator Jon Bailey calls them “meta-humans,†and when they’re not speed racing, they’re being given super GI-Joe style government operations… yeah, I’m apparently one of the only ones who just can’t find the fun here. And when I say only ones, I mean it… this movie made $1.2 billion worldwide.

Watch: Honest Trailer For ‘Beauty and The Beast’

For years, people have complained that Hollywood is out of fresh ideas. Disney has taken this to the extreme by flat out remaking their animated classics into blended films, half live action, half CGI. First was 2016’s The Jungle Book. This year, Disney broke the bank with Beauty and the Beast, a live action retelling of their 1991 classic that became the first animated film to garner a Best Picture nomination. With the film hitting shelves on Blu-ray and DVD last week, the gang at Screen Junkies gave the near $2 billion mega-hit the Honest Trailer treatment.

Check Out The Honest Trailer For ‘Cars’ / ‘Cars 2’

With Pixar trying to ring the cash register again with Cars 3 next week, the gang at Screen Junkies decided to tackle the original 2006 film for their Honest Trailer. Solely based on the strength of the name Pixar, this movie somehow earned over $460 million worldwide. In full disclosure, I never saw Cars and never cared to. This was during the time where my younger sister was too old for kids movies, and I was yet to have kids so animation was kinda dead to me as a moviegoer. And when Cars 2 came out in 2011, all I ever heard about that one was, “it’s the worst Pixar movie ever.†Anyway, because… apparently someone demanded it, we’re getting a trilogy. So sit back and watch as narrator Jon Bailey shreds some of the lesser material in the Pixar catalog.

Watch ‘Catwoman’ Get The Honest Trailer Treatment

Wonder Woman debuts in theaters this week and is already stockpiling rave reviews. It’s being lauded not just as the best film in the DCEU, (since that’s no big compliment), but as a truly great achievement in comic book superhero filmmaking. Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot in the titular role, the film is looking to break the box office and become a monument to feminism in film. I guess since we now have such lofty expectations for Wonder Woman, it makes sense for the gang at Screen Junkies to go back to a far darker time where women heroes were subjected to the dirt worst in screenwriting, filmmaking, just everything… this week’s Honest Trailer is Catwoman; yeah, that Catwoman.

Honest Trailers Presents Its 200th Episode: ‘Logan’

Today the gang at Screen Junkies celebrate their 200th episode of Honest Trailers, and what better way, than with one of the best films of 2017 thus far, Logan. Logan is technically part of Fox’s X-Men universe, but feels so much grittier and different than any of the previous films; less characters, less CGI, and more “stab-a-guy-through-the-head-while-cursing  yeah, it’s different. “They didn’t even put X-Men or Wolverine in the title!â€

Honest Trailers Presents James Cameron’s ‘Aliens’

This Friday, prepare to go back to the world of Alien as Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant hits theaters. But since you have time to kill before that, head over to the Screen Junkies channel on YouTube to catch this week’s Honest Trailer for 1986’s Aliens. That’s right, not Ridley Scott’s original, but James Cameron’s masterpiece sequel, before he went on to make another masterpiece sequel (Terminator 2), but way before all he cared about were sinking ships and blue-people sex. How do you improve on one of the greatest sci-fi horror films ever made… you guessed it; add an “Sâ€!

Honest Trailers Presents ‘La La Land’
|
 |

This week, the gang at Screen Junkies give La La Land the Honest Trailers treatment, days removed from the hit film’s release on Blu-ray. If you were living under a rock in 2016 and early 2017, La La Land was THE movie; a throwback Hollywood musical, about Hollywood starring two young gorgeous stars, filled with tremendous original songs. It was to movie musicals what Hamilton was to Broadway. The film racked up a ridiculous amount of accolades, including winning 6 of 14 Oscars it was nominated for. Of course, many only remember La La Land for the Oscar it didn’t win; the controversial and embarrassing ending to the Academy Awards when their celebration for Best Picture was interrupted by the realization that they actually LOST to Moonlight. So without further ado, let’s get to the Honest Trailer for one of the most talked about films in Hollywood in a long time…

Honest Trailers Presents ‘Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift’

With Fate of the Furious quickly approaching, and all levels of cinematic common sense going out the window, the gang at Screen Junkies turn to the unlikely blockbuster cars and criminals series for their Honest Trailers one more time. This time, we go back to 2006 as Justin Lin was given the keys (haha) to the F&F franchise, and decided to make a movie without all the actors that made it popular, and change the scenery by a few thousand miles.

Honest Trailers Presents Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: The Movie

With the new reboot of Power Rangers due out Friday, the gang at Screen Junkies decided to give the 1995 movie, based on the popular US series, based on the Japanese show… the Honest Trailer treatment. My sister Emily was a huge Power Rangers fan and we had this movie on VHS, and I swear I had to watch this crap-fest over and over. At least HT narrator Jon Bailey agrees; “This is terrible!†he exclaims during his intro.
